Some blow hard radio guy in Madison(What do you know about this Mr. FB?) Said Condi Rice was a inexperienced Aunt Jemima and Colin Powell was an Uncle Tom. Do people in Wisconsin really think that? Not really intereested in getting poli sci battle going, just curious
the dems have been ridiculing condi rice and calling her a parrot. can you imagine the freakin' uproar it would cause if it were the GOP doing the same to a black woman about to be placed in a very prominent position? holy shit, we'd never hear the end of it. "racist," "trying to keep minorities down," blah blah blah..
Me, I'm not from Wisconsin, so I'm not qualified to speak on its behalf other than what I see on campus.
I don't listen to the radio very often. Do you know which DJ it was? I wouldn't assume just because it was said on the radio in a liberal town, that means the person who said it is a liberal.
Oh and Wisconsin isn't really much a blue state--Kerry won it by 14,000 votes. Madison is really liberal because of UW and Milwaukee is liberal because it's mostly minorities. But the rest of the state except for a few assorted pockets is majority Republican.

Okay so yeah, I did a little perusal of the local papers. The guy who said it is Sly in the Morning. He's a local Howard Stern wannabe type.

It would seem he used racist terms to insult members of the Bush administration out of falsely identifying himself with the black community.
Sure it's bad, but I hardly consider one little podunk AM radio morning jock in Wisconsin saying something like this to be national news, or representative of the community in which he broadcasts.
