That's what fog lights are for and that's why they are BELOW your headlights. You have to get the light UNDER the fog not up it.
it proably is stupid, but I'm just floating the idea around. I figured it would be cheaper than getting a new set of fogs. my old fog blubs were always cracking from little rocks on the road. to replace a bulb at $40 a wack I figured why not see if a yellow high beam could work. I now know it won't, I did get what I was looking for from this thread. I do appriciate all the advice, so instead of wasting my money on the bulbs I'll just save up and get a new set of PIAA fogs.

Yeah I saw a bunch of 9005s and 9006s in that original post so I must have gotten mixued up. I don't think anything such as a 9005 yellow bulb exists. Hella for example has their Yellowstar bulbs, but those are only available in H1, H3 and H4. I.e. commonly used fog and low beam bulbs. I guess if you had a Prelude then you could stick yellow bulbs in the high beams but yeah. The only time I've seen cars running blinding yellow lights is at night in endurance racing, and usually they accomplish that with a xenon lamp shining through a thick yellow lens.

thanks for looking for me. the endurance racing lights would be fun to run on high beams in the backwoods.
