now she doesnt know what she wants to do, because she feels that if she is with me, then she'll jsut be lonely at school

if she broke up with dude because she still likes me, wouldnt it make sense to be with me?

Yeah, you know she wants to do the "college thing" and try out a few guys before settling down. Sounds like she just wants to put you on hold for later. You're like "Plan B", something to fall back on in the case nothing better comes up. I would move on unless she commits to only you.
