i'm looking into Plextor PX-712A DVD±R/RW Drive. anybody have experience with it? good drive?

DVDR - and DVDR +.
Which one is better to get?

+ is supposedly better
- is more compatibale across older players

just get both

hold off on d\l until the discs are cheaper

The difference is the formats. The difference is in the way they are written. DVD-R will work with most standalone DVD players. But it may not work well in 3rd party players. Buy quality DVD+-R's to get them to play in PS2's and XBox's.

tiger don't get the plextor. it got really shitty reviews.

the current top dog is NEC-3500A I just bought 2
