So for school I have to write a page long persuasive essay. The topic is supporting your favorite presidential canidate. This is poorly timed I know. I am doing Bush, does anyone have any interesting points they care to share before I go write it based on propaganda from his website?

What's funny is what this kid I know suggested on IM.
him: just talk about how much he hates gays
him: and the environment
him: no one likes those things

anyone?

Coke, beer, and religious fundamentalism.

I just summed up all you need to know right there.

Has to be a presidential canidate from the recent election or an arguement for neither which I am too lazy and not creative enough to do.

The best source of persuasive writing you can find for research on this topic is editorials, and fortunately, the web is replete with them. You'll do well sticking with conservative sources like Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter, who are particularly .. umm .. controversial. There are more moderate conservative reporters who write for papers like the Washington Times and New York Post.

Reading these editorials will give you some ideas about style as well as content, and fortunately for you, all the facts that appear have already been checked for accuracy by the editors of wherever they were first printed.

May I suggest that homeland security and economic policy are two areas that President Bush seems to focus on, and there is probably a lot of information out there for you to read on those topics. And, if you're interested, you'll be able to find the position of the opposition on sites like salon.com and the New York Times.

Good luck.

cool, thanks
I'm just going to take advantage of my nice teacher by turning it in late for no penalty after seeing how every other kid did it.

Go to www.townhall.com and read the columnists. They will have plenty of information.
