Yes we will, and I bet it pisses you off to no end.

Elections are only to a very limited extent about the issues. We've got two established "brands" of politicians in the Democrats and Republicans, and most people in the country have a side which will appeal to them more.

When 50% of all voting age people showing up to vote is considered a big turnout, the best way to win an election is to find people that agree with your candidate and get them to vote.

Turnout, turnout, turnout. That's what any good campaign focuses on. It just so happens that we at MoveOn are going back to the old school door-to-door style of politicking managed all the way down to the ward level.

Nope I am glad we do not stoop to those tactics thank you very much. If I were a democrat I would be ashamed to know that an organization like Move On was so closely affiliated.

Move On supports people like Michael Moore. That says a lot right there for their integrity or rather lack there of.

Move On is a remarkably good idea but it seems like it is very sleazily done.

Yup, I like Michael Moore a whole lot, and I don't give a shit if a Republican says I have no integrity because of that.

The point of an election is to win. It's not like we're tricking people into doing something they don't want to do, we're just helping them to do something that they would have voted for anyway.

If I was going around and paying bums on the street to vote for my guy, that'd be shameless. Identifying normal everyday people who agree with my political views and getting those people to the polls is just smart.

It's far more productive for me to do whatever I can (within reason) to add to the total number of votes for my guy, than to worry about if people like you like it or not.

Off to the polls I go.

the fact that republicans do so little to garner votes will eventually bite them in the ass.

i seriously have no clue who will win, but i do know that my age group will decide the election either way.

FWIW, the Republicans seem to be doing their part to get turnout as well.

What remains to be seen is which side got more people to the polls that would not have gone otherwise.
