quick pc networking question.
is it possible for me to have 2 NIC cards working at the same time?
here's the reason i asked. right now, i have my pc connected directly to my xbox via crossover cable (don't ask why). i would like to have an internet connection to my pc, but everytime i have to unhook the xover cable and plug back in the normal networking cable.
i don't want to use a router because that will really screw with my xbox to pc connection.
what i'd like ...
nic 1
[xbox] <-----xover cable -----> [pc]
nic 2
[pc] <-----network cable -----> [internet]
possible?

You shouldn't have any problems, some motherboards are actually shipping with 2 integrated NIC's now adays. I think you'd be better off with a router between you and the internet connection so you can split the internet that way and also have the hardware firewall of the router to hide behind but 2 NICs should work fine.
