It's always like that because, unfortunately, negative campaigning works. Throw enough mud, and some of it inevitably sticks.

This year has been good for one thing, however. It has shown us exactly how irrelevant the party conventions are. When the candidates are already known once primary season is over, and since the party platforms (the only other reason to have the conventions) are irrlevant to most voters anyhow, why bother? Both major parties have already indicated that this year's conventions will probably be the last ones to be held in major cities (security concerns), and will also be the last ones to be held for four days.

Something that Great Britain and the Soviet Union were not able to do. Bottom line, Afgahanistan is no longer a secure base for terrorists. Another new democracy has been established.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are beginning to join us in the war on terrorism.

Saddam Hussein is no longer a threat to our National interests. Iraq is on its way to establishing another new democracy.

All the while, attending to our delicate economy that was damaged by:
a stock market recovering from the dot.com boom.
the events of Sept. 11th
engaging the War in Afghanistan
engaging the War in Iraq

Events that have placed more demands this president than on any other previous president in recent history.

He didn't do too bad for a piece of shit retard, did he?

Wow it actually lasted 25 posts until some dumbass threw in some of that wonderful partisan BS because they can't comprehend the very first post in this thread.

Well now return this thread to the usual party bashing bs.

Why are all of you so negative?

Think back to how your felt the week after the events of Sept. 11th. Ask yourself whether it would be possible to overthrow the Taliban and Hussein? Ask yourself how long it would take?

In less than 3 years, we have taken out two threats of our National security and replaced them with self-governing democracies. Folks!!! This is good news!!!

Sure there are some difficulities in Iraq. But it isn't anything that can't be eventually overcome.

Our economy was in the basement back in 2000 and even worse in 2002. Now, it is back on the upswing.

Everyone Cheer-up!!!

God I hope so Mike, you usually have deeper things to say than that. This is the worst election ever, until the next one. No offense to my fellow Americans, but the average gringo is a complete dumbass who can't keep track of how much more they spend than they make, is completely oblivious to the rest of the world, and can't understand why America is so hated. None of these things will change in January, or whenever the Supreme Court says, "This guy won" after the lawyers get done fighting it out.

Then you didn't have a good relationship in the first place. Anyone who lets partisan politics come between a friendship doesn't have a very strong friendship in the first place.
