Honda or Acura
The driving force to the creation of Acura was Honda's desire to create a six cylinder car. Honda didn't want to soil their name if it didn't sell well.
To match the six cylinder engine, the original Legend was pretty plush for it's time.
The Integra was created as an upscale, sporty commuter car to give the new brand two models to market.
The nameplate took off from there.
