My experience with fedex home delivery..
So Wednesday, I purchased a premodded ps2 from a seller in Pensacola, FL. He ships it out that day and it makes its way to Milwaukee by Friday. The driver attempts to deliver on friday at around 2pm but I was at school. No sweat, he left a doortag on my mailbox in the lobby of my apartment building.
So, I call customer service to arrange to pick up the box from the distribution center. The lady who I spoke to says that if I want to pick it up, I can pick it up at the Kinko's-Fedex way up north from where I live, out in the boonies, on saturday morning. I reluctantly agree to pick it up on saturday morn between 9am and 11am, because I work third shift and I don't get home and go to bed until 4am~5am. And I have to be at work by 11am for my weekend job.
I wake up on Saturday morning and to the Kinkos. I give the worker there my door tag with all of my info on it and tell him that I'm picking up this box. He looks at me like :eh: (seriously, that was his exact facial expression). He says that customers don't pick up boxes at that location, they only drop them off at that location. So, I call up fedex customer service and explain to the customer service rep what the situation was. She was puzzled as well, because THERE ARE NO CUSTOMER PICKUPS AT ANY KINKO-FEDEX LOCATIONS ANYWHERE. So the fuggin cust service rep from friday told me to pick up my box at some kinko's in the boondocks far from my residence and there is no such thing as picking up boxes at any kinkos!!!!
...
So, I call CS later (saturday afternoon) and ask when could I pick up the box, because I'm usually not home during delivery hours. The CS rep lady explains to me that there has to be three delivery attempts before I can pick up my box from the distribution center, unless I authorize the driver to leave the box in the lobby of my apartment building. I chose not have the driver leave it out front in the lobby because tons of drunk college kids go thru there all the time, and it isn't very secure..... So the first delivery attempt was on friday, and there would be another on saturday, and the last on monday, so the earliest I could pick up my box would be tuesday. So I told the CS rep that I would just wait it out.
So saturday night I come home all beat up from work at around 9pm. At this point, drunk college kids already came out of the wood work. I go thru the back entrance of my apartment, and do the usual (shit, shower, eat, chill, call the girl to see what we're doin tonite). So at around 10, she comes over, and guess what, she came thru the front and she saw my fcuking box sitting against the fcuking radiator (One of those super hot old fashioned cast iron radiators) in the lobby. She brings it to my apt and shows it to me. One side of the box is scorched and the packing material on the inside is scorched as well. Fortunately, none of the merchandise inside the package was damaged. The fcuking driver left it in the lobby, even though he wasn't authorized to do so. Well, that just fcuking made my day.
cliff notes: fedex cs rep tells me to pick up a package at kinko's who doesn't do customer pick-ups. driver leaves box in my apartment lobby, where it could be stolen, etc, without my consent. box is fcuked up. luckily, my stuff was ok.

That sucks, FedEx usually just leaves it with my appartment managers.
UPS gave my headlights I ordered to my neighbor.. which was pretty damn weird. But okie.
It's all good though, cuz everyone in my complex is pretty much rich. Cept me

That absolutely sucks. I have seen stuff like that happen with every delivery service. Many of these delivery people just drop off the pacakges and don't care about what happens afterwards because they don't want to have to keep going to the same place with the same package
I forgot to mention that when I had a package shipped to my parents house, the guy just drove by and chucked it out the side door thing and hit the side of the house with it. we were pissed, called and complained. don't know if anything happened to him or not.
Yea i ordered some pimp glasses and i wasnt home to get it and they let me pick it up that same day. I would call and complain. The merchandise might look good but the heat from the radiator could've caused some internal damage.
