Seeing how far a privatly funded spacecraft can take us just past the edge of space... I 100% believe we've been to the moon back in the 60's.

At the time it almost seemed impossible, read some of the books from the 50s and 60s about space travel. The problems they went through were astronomical, sure right now it seems almost too easy but at the time it was a near impossible feat.

I think you are perceiving this in today's technology era. Space travel 40 years back when it started with the technology they had was incredible. Anti-matter is the same way, 40 years from now we will say that "Oh that was too easy."

more like 400 years from now... maybe 200 years.

or maybe 100years... possibly 80 or no 60 years, perhaps 45 but not 40 years for sure

and it's easy to look back after the fact.

i am currently building a prototype of a matter/anti-matter containment pod which will fuel the decrystallization of dilithium. which in turn creates unimaginable power to propel a ship faster than light.
