That brings a new question, why don't we use anti-matter as a way to power everything. Sure its expensive as hell, but it also has a much larger life span. Wouldn't it be cheaper during the long run?

Exactly why they wouldn't use it. Cuts too many people out of the profits in the end.

As you said before big oil wouldn't want it nor would the national power commision because they would have to lower the cost per kilowatt hour to a ridiculously low rate. Of course they would make up fo it in bulk and output cost but that is never considered in matters of actual feasability.

Anything harvested off the moon would still take years to figure out its properties and how to use it.
