I want a summer car and something I can kick around at the auto x. I'd rather keep the Accord as the stock daily driver.

also define soon... I wont be able to get the current model. I'll be getting the redesigned one sometime in 06-07 time frame.

 

Can you tell me more about the Miatas? I know Alfas have quite a few pesky problems, so I'd rather lean more towards a Miata.

06-07 - thats still soon... What do you think of the VX220? I heard it was a better Elise.

 

who said it was a better elise? it's heavier and has a turbo engine so more power than the 111S.

it's also made by the same folks at lotus so I'm not sure what makes it better except maybe the engine. I don't really care about the engine since I've already decided a K20 is going in the elise when the time comes.



the only problem you might have with the miata is fitting in the car. It's a fairly small car (not as small as elise). Not sure if you can put the top up since I know you are on the tall side.

Miata will also be wayyy cheaper to fix than an alfa and handle on par (stock for stock) if not better.

You'll also be able to find 1000000% more parts for the Miata then the alfa.
