HELP with Work Computer
go search on google for "free proxy servers list" and find a website that has a list of different ip addresses. Once you find a site, go to tools- internet options or something similar (depends on the browser) and find where it says connection properties, and somewhere in there should be somethign about proxies. When you find that, click set up proxy manually and enter in an ip address of a proxy on your website. After that you should be able to search websites without them blocking it. Not all addresses will work, so you might have to go through 4 or 5 before it starts working. Also, using different ports each time might be useful.
We had websense at work before and that was pretty lax. They mostly blocked keywords, like MaxBoost said. Then we switched to Surf Control and pretty much everything is blocked.
I don't really care. I have too much work to do.

we found the proxy thing and there were certain websites blocked....ebay, hotmail, and the signin for hotmail and the same with yahoo. we're not changing anything though. I like my job too much to piss someone off

We got the same thing sorta at my job. So whenever i want to look at something. I just bypass the firewall by dialing up using an earthlink the job has and then i can access all the sites i want.
