Here!! You need this new directx to play this game, but oh shit!! It hasn't passed our own logo testing, but it's moved out of the beta stage and into full user release since last month.

cryptographic services... that was the problem.
I went to services.msc and disabled a bunch of services so I wouldn't lag while gaming and that was one of them. For some reason it needed tghat one service to be active to install. fawk microsoft. gimme halo 2 then I'm done with you.
