Default Bought an Ebay car, but now need help.

Is there anything I can do?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

I won this car and picked it up on Wednesday. I emailed the guy and asked how bad the damage was and if it was driveable. Was told it wasn't bad and driveable.

So I wrote out a cashier's check and picked up the car. Looked it over and the paint looked bad, hood was pushed back a bit and car started fine.

I get home and pop the hood to do some maintenance and coolant sprayed everywhere from a crack in it. So I added back in almost a 1/2 gallon of antifreeze. Also the AC doesn't work, and last night it rain and about 1 gallon of water fell on me and the passenger seat this morning.

I emailed the guy back and mentioned all this to him and of course he said "Well the AC worked for us, and it rained yesterday and it didn't leak" and "the radiator wasn't leaking for us". Do you think this is BS?

What can I do? Cost of the radiator is about $100, and to fix the sunroof is another $100-200.

Sorry to say but his feedback is clearly fake... looks like you've been scammed.

Yeah, you can pull your pants back up and then buy some Preparation H for your plundered assmeats. You can also file a case in small claims court, but you would have to go back to his area and file there most likely, since that is where the sale physically occurred. He did state in the item description that the A/C worked and obviously it does not. That is a material misstatement of fact and should be enough to void the sales contract. Also you could (and should!) complain to eBay, though what good that will do I can't tell you. They supposedly have some kind of insurance, but that only covers a few hundred dollars.

Damn, sorry to hear that mike... the seller definitely sounds shady, but I'm afraid there is little you can do now.

Safe Harbor or whatever can actually get you some action towards the seller... small claims court can... and whatever else..

I am really sorry to hear this about you Mike I hope everything works out for the best.

That sucks. Unfortunately, buying used cars is considered buying "as-is." While it's highly unethical to do what this guy did, it's legal and there's nothing you can do to get your money back.

Sorry man

You might be able to get him for the non working a/c and the leaking sunroof. Btw, He has 66.7% positive feedback. That's pretty bad.
