anyone else's computer restart while using mIRC?

anyone else's computer restart while using mIRC?
ever since i formatted a while back, whenever im on mIRC downloading.. my whole computer just randomly restarts.. 
i mean i had like 10 files going, and BAM.. shut down.
now i have to try and find them again 
any suggestions?

I don't use MIRC but I have been getting a Kernel error which is making my physical memory dump and forcing a reboot.
Pretty annoying and virus scan comes up with nothing.

So far I have been up for 6 hours with no dump after turning the machine off for abut 8 hours last night, but it is still showing signs of problems.
I think I am just going to reformat since I am a bit overdue for one anyways.
