Its a crap shoot for me because its hard to find socks in my size.

Once I find a good pair I go back the next day and buy 3 more packages of them just to be sure I have them.

well then its probably related to the way you walk and/or stand. look at an old pair of shoes and see if the back of the shoe is worn down more than the rest of it.

I am a 13.5 and I also have problems with the toes wearing out no matter what I do.

I think I have more "Sunday socks" than ones that aren't holy h:

see i don't get holes in the top. I get them around the ankle or on the bottom. Usually when people get them on the bottom it's because they are worn out. The socks that I have the holes on the bottom are only a few weeks old and still look new :dunno:

ive had my tommy socks forever, nautica socks aint that great.. and i got some polo sport socks like 4 months ago, still feel brand new

i like mine below the ankle :dunno:

they have a red stripe up by the toes, i dont know if all hanes do or what but mine do and they are tough.
