I've never had one, I just deal with it if I happen to get the flu. It's good to clean the body out every once in a while anyways h:

Sure you can always go without it, if you're careful. All I'm saying is that once you get the flu, with asthma the situation deteriorates much more rapidly than in a non-asthmatic. One time I had flu I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia, another time I ended up with bronchitis, and I'm non-asthmatic. The whole point of the vaccine is to avoid that situation.

As for getting sick...I have actually never known of anyone who has gotten sick because of it, although I'm sure some people do. I think the likelihood of a reaction is small, but I don't really know.

i get the flu every year and i still don't get the shot. a lot of vaccines actually have the virus in them. meningitis is one of them. when i got that vaccine, i actually got a small case of it. sucked pretty bad.

So do I. I suggest you get one. Your work is teh suck though. My job has them on site and if you can't make it when they have it, they will pay for it when you get it at a doctor's office. It is worth it. No flu or very easy flu if you do catch it

All vaccines have the virus or the fundamental virus proteins in there. They work by making you a little bit sick so your body produces the antibodies to fight the disease later.
