Actually...2wd + snow tires > 4x4 with radials. Drive both in the snow...you'll come to find 4wd to be masking a problem rather then solving it.

only if you dont know how to use 4x4.

there is more to it than just putting it in 4wd and going, you have to know how the car/truck is going to respond.

Clearly. But a 2wd car with snow tires is more easy to control and more communicative then a 4x4 truck with radials.

Yeah, I have my bald stock Michelins on my stock rims I'm using.

Shouldn't be a problem though, car is just sitting in the garage all winter. :uhhok:

Four new snow tires last year. $42 each and have 55K treadware warranty on them.
Starfire Spectrum (now Cooper Lifeliner Classic II) on 14 inch stock wheels.
I never got stuck once and this was with my car pushing snow with the front bumper.
