Default Auto expenses

Do you guys keep a note of what is being done to your car? Or is it more like buy it, put it on and forget it or fix it and forget it? A lot of people look at me like I am crazy because I have every penny spent on my car written down in a little notebook along with when it was done (date and mileage) and a location. That way I know what was done and when I sell the car I can show the owner what was fixed or added on.

For resale that's a great idea. If you don't plan on selling it I'd say it might be overkill.

Seriously though, very few of us will ever keep our cars forever. Five years back some of you said "I'll keep my car forever" and now have moved on to better cars with the same motto.

So far I have kept every car I've driven. Except one car, which was an exception.

Come back to me in 15 years when you are married, have a few kids and your wife wants you to sell that POS because she can't pull her SUV in without hitting it. :chuckles:

Yes very high, F1 career... unless you are living in Europe and karting since you were a toddler then your closest match would be Champ cars.
