Default computer gurus...HELP!!11!111~

ok..so I did a re-instal of windows XP, but now I have windows on my D and my C drive...how would go about deleting the one on the C drive? everytime I try, even through the "dos" prompt, It still says access denied.

What else is on the C: Drive? If nothing else, just format that drive.

EVERYTHING is on my C drive...thats why I didnt format it....

Move everything to D: drive. Format C: drive. Move everything back to C: drive.

you have 2 drives right? NOT 2 Partition?

If it is, then. Disconnect your current drive C (no power). Set drive D to master. Reformat and reinstall XP. It will become your new C drive. Then mount the OLD C drive back as slave, then move the files you want over to the new C. Format the OLD C for future storage.

I got it all figured out....I took the files from C and moved them all to F so that I can retain master on D...I will then format C and then transfer files back from F to C

or..

right click My Computer, click Hardware tab, click Hardware Profiles button at the bottom, select the Windows profile you don't use (not current), click Delete.

doesnt seem to exist with my XP pro....:dunno:

What doesn't exist? I have mine set up in "Classic" style so it has My Computer on the desktop. Otherwise you can go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>System and then Hardware tab, etc.
