you have 2 drives right? NOT 2 Partition?

If it is, then. Disconnect your current drive C (no power). Set drive D to master. Reformat and reinstall XP. It will become your new C drive. Then mount the OLD C drive back as slave, then move the files you want over to the new C. Format the OLD C for future storage.
