I am not anti war, were there we have to take care of this business that we started, like Kerry stated it's like something that broke now you own it. We have to finish this now. If we are spending this amount of moey we might as well prepare our troops with whtat they need and not half @$$ the job like were doing now.

I don't think being a little unsettled by a debate is a bad thing. I did 3 last year and I was no more calm at the 3rd one then the first. It's a different setting, and when you have more to lose then to gain, you put more pressure on yourself.

What I did notice is that when flustered, Kerry will make useless sentences whereas Bush will go "umm, ehh, mmm, ok" Kerry masks it better. But both were stumped about the same during the debate.
Very cool Corey. It is good to hear your point of view being that you have had previous debate experience and have a different insite on how people react in debates.

It is also nice to hear your opinion since you were riding the fence, not strongly supporting someone like most of us posting in here.

Are you claiming that there's no federal funding of education?

ok..let me get this straight.

youre PRO war in Iraq because we're already there..right?

You dont like that our troops arent being taken care of properly..

You think we spent too much money on the war already..money that couldve been used elsewhere within the US..

..and now you're saying again that we've done a half assed job of preparing our troops.

so if we spend more money to prepare the troops and provide them with the supplies they need...you'll bitch

if we dont spend more money to prepare our troops and provide them with the supplies they need, but rather spend it towards education back home here...you'll bitch.

Has federal funding of schools gone down in the past 4 years? I don't know (don't take this as a sarcastic question).

It depends on what level of education you're talking about.

The thing is, the cost of education goes up so generally speaking expenditures go up as well.

Using higher education as an example, federal funding has consistently gone up however in the past few years the proportion of public higher education budgets covered by federal funding have decreased.

I'm talking k-12 public schools.

Would a suburban school district, for example, being recieving less federal money for education?
