Cargo space is limited and if you wanna drive it in the winter you absolutely need a set of snow tires. Even then you won't be able to drive through big snow piles because it's really low to the ground, but it will go on roads with a coating of snow on em. Only with snow tires.

And I would go for at least an '02 or newer because the '00-'01 have a plastic rear window. If you're going to be doing a decent amount of top-up driving that window gets all scratched and fogged up and is just a pain to deal with.

I drove one for the first time friday night and I loved it. Whats wierd is the thing I liked most of it was the headlight illumination  I love how you can see the line where the illumination ends

they were also notorious for oil bursts, but that was covered under warranty. If you want a problem free S2000, get a MY03+.

HIDs > joo. The S2Ks probably have one of the cleanest cutoffs in a production car.

Its an alright car.........i traded with my friend for a week his 350z for my s2000 and i have to say i like the 350z a lot more. Handling is pretty good, again it doesn't seem to me to handle as well as the 350 but thats just personal opinion.

Overall the car isn't too fast. The handling is good but high speed jaunts down the freeway or stop light racing......it sucks. I think I will sell my 03 next spring or summer and look into either like a 350z or a corvette or something.

I rode in one of my instructors at a recent track event and all i can say is damn. Felt a lot quicker then the 911 i was driving and just cruised around the track. It felt like my hatch with rwd; small, agile, and quick. I would love to own one. If you are into more drag or just getting on it i am sure there are better cars but for a real track they are great. Also look for an 02+, as mentioned rear glass and much better synchros.

S2000 vs. 350Z is all driver's race and personal preferences
