what is said special soap?

i just use walmart brand salen solution. im too cheap to fork out $5 a bottle when the walmart brand is like $1.14

so is said soap really effective or no? i noticed that after a while (3 weeks or so) my contacts would start to get hard and more irretating so i would have to switch them. im really leaning towards daily disposables because i guess they are more "cleaner" than normal contacts since you replace them daily. sorry for all the questions i just want to be thorough h:

The saline solution doesn't have any cleaners. If you use saline, you're supposed to heat up the contacts to break down the proteins. You want probably an enzymatic cleaner, it helps get proteins off your contacts. I use Renu, but I think they're pretty much all the same. There's also another type that is exactly like soap, but then every week you're supposed to soak the contacts in an enzyme solution. I used to use that but then said screw it.

Anyhoos, I prefer changing my contacts more often...mine are supposed to be 3 months, but I dump them after 2 months usually.
