Could be, but I think there needs to be a balance, can't spend every waking moment with your SO. I look at having one as the icing on the cake.

I agree. You can't spend your whole life being depressed or not living like you should or want just because you don't have that "special someone" to share with. And even if you do have that SO you can't spend 24/7/365 with them because then they're just that "someone" instead of that "special someone" YOu eventually get tired of seeing the same guy/gal. It's what leads people to cheating IMO

 

This can actually be liked at from two different woks of people. The person who has been in love and know what its like to lose that feeling. Then you have the schmuck who doesnt know black from white and they can give you opinions for days on how cool it is being single, knowing theyre longest relationship was Handgela one Friday night and she wasnt putting out.... smurf on. :kiss:

 

I hear you. The biggest thing that brought it this up was my dad. He's got a girl, basically was depressed when he was single, now he thinks he's happy because he's got someone. I see him as still depressed. I think he thinks she will bring him all the happiness he needs, which she'll not. There isn't a good balance there.

I'm saying I'm at a point in my life where I am happy with what is going on in my life. I have fun and do things that I enjoy. I'm not with anyone because I haven't found the right girl yet, but am ready.

 

grass is always greener on the other side.....usually....for a lot of people....

but i agree with you that a person needs to love themself and be happy about who they are first, before getting into a relationship...at least thats what i think would help greatly in being in one.
