I find it easier to get everything from one place but I am sure there are better prices out there
newegg is reputable and reliable and most of my parts came from newegg
I'll take a look but if you agree about getting it all from one place then let me know

I like stuff with Lucent chip-sets because I see them on both Mac and PC wireless devices. Are you using 802.11b or 802.11g?

as long as she's connecting to an 802.11b network with it, it should be fine

pc and mac have nothing to do with it, get it based on the wireless type

I just said I like Lucent chipsets on them because they work great on both platforms without unusual problems. So they must be right-on with the hardware standards.

If the wireless network is 802.11g, then either 802.11b or g will work on it. You may find compatibility problems going the other way with some cards. I believe most g cards do transmit and receive by either standard, though. It's worth checking up on. Look for reviews on cnet when you find a model that looks good.

I'd go with b if you're not sure.
