Default What would you rather have?

a 2001 Acura Integra GSR or a 2003 Acura CL Type-S?

Both are in excellent condition. The GSR has about 12,000 more miles on it.

GSR Benefits:
better gas mileage
is 5-speed manual
I own it outright

CL Benefits:
90 more hp
classier vehicle
less stolen
roomier
many more options
less miles on it
2 years newer
insurance should cost less than GSR
better build quality
side air bags

Bad things about making the switch would be I would have to shell out a few thousand to make up the difference. Also it is an auto instead of manual. Other than that I can't think of any other reason why not to sell my GSR and buy my dad's CL :dunno:

what are your thoughts?

CL-S no doubt.

Much more classier for someone over 21+.

because i know what people do with them, they beat them to shit. That and I want something bigger. In a few years down the road I could always buy an S2000 for fun. I can afford a new S2000 but it isn't too practical.

yeah it definetly is. I am 25 now (26 in a month) and think it would be a good change. Also it is a more practical car and can be used later on in life to fit a small family is needed :rick:

First of all, I thought you were in love with the S2K.....haha

Personally, I think the CL is the way to go. I am in no way bashing the Integra (I have one), but I think the CL is a step up, a natural progression if you will (had a 97 CL a few years ago - yeah, I know that I took a step back, but a baby WILL change priorities ). If I am correct, you are one of the "older" members of the board and I think the CL would be a good fit for you. Don't take offense, I am 28, so I know where you are coming from.....haha Anyways, as you stated, the CL is a bit classier - if that is a look you are going for, it is a no brainer. I know that the Teg is a blast to drive, and you have done some "fun" things to yours, but I don't think you will be disappointed in the CL - save the auto.

If the CL will only cost you a few grand (and you will recoup some of this in insurance savings), I say jump on it. Also, since it is your dad's you know how it was treated and exactly what the car has gone through (peace of mind is huge IMHO). Plus you will have a car that not everyone and their brother has.....and you can become a card carrying member of the "balla" squad now! lol

How many miles are on the CL by the way?

great points you have made. You are thinking right on the same lines I am. It has 22,000 right now.

I still love the S2000 but it is not pratical for me right now. I am saving up for a house and looking to the future to start a family. The S2000 would be a great toy to have a few years down the road when I get some of my other goals accomplished first
