Parking ticket question
I know this is a general question not related to Accords, but I have one and I check this section most often. So I got a parking ticket for parking in a Handicapped spot in my neighborhood. I was actually parked in the dashed section right next to the actual spot, but I think it still counts. My question is about the fine, the ticket says $200 but the sign on the handicap spot says a maximum fine of up to $100. Which one is valid? I live in the state of Georgia. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
Well the ticket doesn't have a place for the officer to write the fine, it is a check mark box and says $200 if paid within 7 days $250 after 7 days. I think the fine was changed since the sign was put up and was never replaced. I trying to figure out which takes precedence, a posted sign or the ticket.
The fine on the ticket will undoubtedly be the fine they enforce.
If I were you, I wouldn't argue with them - in this particular case anyway.

take a picture of the sign and bring it to court. Ask them to dismiss it because obviously things are ape-sh*t and they have to get their sh*t together before stealing money from the common folk.

nah bring a pick to court, was it the slanted lines you parked in?
or was it an actualy spot next to it with no labels? cause if the sign wasnt directly over the spot and there was no paint on the ground its technically not handicapped.

Is this what you did? I have no idea what you mean by 'dashed' lines, so I'm trying to think of what you did. If you did park in that part, the handicapped sign has nothind to do with you, you parked in a no parking zone, not a handicapped zone.
