I would disagree with that. The hatch has that wide open space in the back, where as the sedan/coupe has a solid rear deck, which serves almost like a strut tower bar. With upgrades, theres probably no difference between the two, but stock verses stock, I would tend to think a sedan/coupe is more rigid

exactly.

hence why pillar bars were made for the hatches to reinforce the rear hatch area

How is the sedan better than the hatch?
It's stretched out, has 2 more doors, and a trunk?
I didn't see an SIR II sedan out of Honda.

Do you understand even the most base concept of torsional rigidity? Do you understand the slightest idea of how solid structure makes for more of it?

A hatch has a gaping maw in its ass end which loosens the rigidity of the vehicle in the rear end moreso than the smaller openings in the sedan and coupe.

Sorry man but you have no idea and this is the only way to explain it simply. The other way is to take you out in two completely stock Civics of each model and run you through the corners and let you feel the difference.

I think you should either research or JUST know your sh*t before posting.

Thank you.

I'm not going to argue which is better,

But you should really think before you go saying things like:

I wouldn't bother with that LX sedan.

You dont see SiR II's in sedan platform because they never existed. BUT..they did have the Civic Ferio SiR (sedan) Chassis code EG9. B16A powerplant.

There was EG9's running the JTCC and N1 circuits in Japan. Even Spoon Sports had an EG9.

ahhh
I think I get it now.
I bet a strut tower bar in the back helps a lot.
But for the sixth gens isn't the hatch preferred?

It's preffered because of the CTR...
