Booksmart and common sense do not go hand in hand at all. I know many people who are considered genius level IQ but lack the common sense to get in out of the rain.

My sister is one of those people who could walk in without studying and ace any test you gave her but a lot of times her street sense or common sense was severely lacking. Not talking shit about her at all but it has been proven time and again that if you are strong in a certain area you usually are equally lacking in another area.

Good example is people who are good at math usually lack in english skills or writing and vice versa.

Intelligence has little to do with sound judgement. If you knew me when I was 17 you would understand completely. Intelligent people know they are, morons do not always have such a clear picture of where they are standing though. Being smart is better than being pretty, unless you are a whore and getting by on your looks. I for example kick ass at trivial pursuit, generally after one game people are not interested in another. How hard is it to get on Jeopardy?

I've always thought of an intelligent person as someone who has the ability to learn things easily. If they don't know how something works, they usually pick it up in a relatively short time. They have keen observation and logic skills.

Morons are people who make the same mistakes over and over again, despite having all the facts laid in front of them. Not that they're undisciplined, they just can't put the information together and make logical conclusions from it. :loco:
