Using thinner on clear coat is a no no....

i mean some thinners are stronger than others..... but I can't see evan the weakest ones being good for the paint.

You're going to have gunk after I took my OEM accord/special edition badges off with Lestoil after heating it up with a hair dryer.

Be careful with that heat gun, chank, i don't know where you read that they were safe to use around cars like that, but especially around paint/bumper, they heat up way too much

Don't worry Cory, I know how to run a heat gun around my paint , not my first time :exnbp:.

I have 3M adhesive remover to get off the gunk, it works better than anything I've came across.

If you get the emblem off you can remove the glue with tar/adhesive remover, trust me it'll take it off. It's safe on clear coats. Its available from some autoparts stores and detail supply places.
