i got my ass beat.....:( *pics*
by my lack of endurance and mother nature. but i still had a blast.
i took my bike out to the trails for the first time. i wasnt quite prepared, but it was awesome. i didnt have my waterpack yet, so i carried a water bottle and camera inside my backpack. and i didnt have my helmet, so i wore my snowboard helmet...(no vents
h: )
i went around the trails that are near my workplace in the oakland hills. i thought i was able to take a steep trail, but i proved myself wrong VERY quickly. the trail was FILLED with roots, rocks, and dips that were about a good 5-6 inches; and me being a noob it scared the shit out of me. thats when i stopped and walked my ass back up the hill. :exnbp: and it wasnt even the steep section yet.
so i went and found a different trail. it was a less bumpy but was filled with mud. so naturally i went down that trail a little slower and survived. then i decided that i wasnt going to be able to take that trail back because i was beat. so i took the twistie paved roads that lead back up to my workplace. although it was paved going uphill, i still got a good beating. but the small downhill sections i was FLYING through. i felt like i was going 65mph. but then a car passed me going by pretty fast, and i usually drive 30mph on that section.

anyway, here are some quick pics:

 Nice man! If you ever want to go biking, come to my neck of the woods. We can do a city route and if you want to be closer to mother nature, there are a few of them we can head to as well.
