Never said "Honda mechanic", I'm addressing the fact it doesn't make sense to have someone as a moderator who doesn't even touch their car.

I'm over it.

i guess being knowledgeable to cars (hondas) would help a bit to define what is on topic and off topic to a certain forum. it would also be more calming to know that the leaders of a honda forum actually knows about hondas, and not just know how to search for info on the web.

Moderators of the tech forums should have lifted a few wrenches and gotten a little dirty. Along with keeping the forum in line, they should have a good technical knowledge base. A knowledge base not only about products, but installs and maintenance work, and troubleshooting. They should have some practical experience working on things. When people aren't getting answers, they should be able to turn to a moderator. In my experience on web boards, members PM moderators to get the info they need.

I'm over it.

When I had my hatch I worked on it,
Andy worked on his.
1stgencrxer... shit. he's worked on half of the sites cars.
westcoaststyle, he works on his.
asiandood puts new rims on every other day.
george knighton works/races on his.
jaje works on his car (non honda) i've worked on his with him.

Point being moderators work on cars. not all of us are die hard mechanics and frankly some peoples lives don't allow them the luxury of working on their cars.

Perhaps i'm being biased, but i think our moderators are pretty level headed, and our administration team has more checks and balances than many other boards. i've seen moderators rule with an iron fist.

Funny thing for one particular forum, half of the moderators don't touch their cars and the other half I've personally helped them when they were just getting into these cars, but it's okay though.

Sounds more along the lines of a personal issue with a moderator or moderators.

Life isn't perfect. All moderators do contribute to the site though.

If you guys feel as if moderators aren't contributing enough, you should def. PM Daniel.

You guys can voice your opinion.

I'm quite sure Daniel Larusso knows how I feel.

Personally I think it's a joke for a good part of that pruning.

Who was? :eh:

I don't have a problem with any of the tech section mods. I am primarily a pre-92 guy, and Harry and jeje are plenty knowledgable.

Josh is the same way in 92+.

The Integra section has good mods too.

I don't see what the big problem is, call me an ass-kisser if you want.
