Here is what you haven't heard: People who smoke weed, smoke waaaay less often than cigerette smokers. The carcinogens are only found in Marijuana SMOKE. If you cook it, it is harmless and the effect is greater.
I believe legalization is in order. It should be for those 21 and over and have DUI charges as well as with public intoxication. Cigaweeds man!
Now another fact: Weed is shown to lead to passifism rather than aggression which is associated with alcohol.
Fact: Many people have been found to have been under the influence of weed in car wrecks
What you didn't hear: a majority of these people were ALSO under the influence of alcohol.
It's amazing what the media will do to hype up how bad this is.
In fact, about a month ago I saw a story on CNN saying the idea that it causes brain damage was proven false. It does mess up your short term memory and ability to learn, but these effects are temporary.

My biggest pet peeve, as I made perfectly clear, was the one that tells the "statistics" of those causing car wrecks and then having been tested positive for THC in their blood. I think they are complete and utter bullshit.. as they fail to mention how long THC remains present IN the body. As I said before.. I can get in a car wreck today (knock on wood I won't
) and test positive for THC though it's been nearly a week since I even looked at some weed. And I will always stand by my belief that drinking is ten times more destructive then smoking.
I've been smoking on and off on a near regular basis for about a year and a half. I hold a regular full time job and go to school full time (in which I maintain nearly all straight A's) I have succesful relationships with my S.O. and friends and absolutly no problems at home.
It just rocks to kick back after a hard day of work and school, spark a j. or smoke a bowl, then destroy some badies and save the world in FFX or some other game.
So.. decriminlize it... make the plant legal.. or whatever..
This, my friends, is the coolest chick on HAN.

Since we allow tobacco and alcohol, I am not sure that I understand the ethics of keeping marijuana illegal.
Unless, of course, you just think there are too many legal ways to get screwed up and we just don't need an extra way.
The typical, stereotypical marijuana user is not someone that I'm going to voluntarily have in my life, just as I would never tolerate someone who smoked tobacco around me.
Honestly, though, except for the law, I don't see much difference between them as far as the degree of acceptability.

How many cases of someone being high on weed, just weed, and getting into a fatal car collision? Marijuana can be used medically, and really does help people in numerous ways. It should be legalized, definitely! :bandito:
