Default New Windshield- Problems

i just had my windshield replaced via mobile service... and it looks like crap..

i mean fit/finish wise it looks good.. but the glass has like a 6'' diameter swirled area.. almost like it was buffed and it does not come off.. it also has these weird lines that look like scratches.. but more like defects. and it has distortion on both sides where the glass is more curved...

Im very distraught.. lol

The place said it was 100% oem replica.. and should not notice a difference from Honda glass.. except for the small tint strip on the top...

sorry, but this is what happens when you don't go with OEM :dunno: My mom's '98 4runner makes tons of wind noise after Safelite installed an aftermarket windshield

Tell them you want to inspect the windshield before they put it in?

It sounds like they used a repaired glass for your new glass I would take it back and get new-Did they say they were using a repaired glass? Did you get it discounted? What glass company did you use?

You can fix it yourself... you can use 1000 and 2000 grit wet sandpaper to haze it up, and then use a 3m rubbing compound that gets out scratches that are finer than 1500 grit. It will look fine.
