humans colonizing Mars....
I used to be so against all these billion dollar missions. Fact is we will have to look outside our solar system to find another planet that would support human life. A friend opened my eyes though. There have been so many things/materials created that we use in our everyday lives from the engineering done for space exploration. Things we all take for granted, that would of possibly never been created (atleast not so soon) if it wasn't for the space program. 100 yrs ago no one would of ever thought man would one day land on the moon. The next 100 yrs should advance even further.
I think the possibilities are cool. I mean we could find new elements, which could lead to new materials and other cool things. I think were still way off from living there but im definitely for the exploration.

They have recently discovered that Mars, at the very least, had an atmosphere, north and south poles, and even what they think is running water. Building blocks for life. They have also seens some of these properties on some of the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.
So are you wrong? No. I'm just saying that in this situation one needs to choose words carefully. More and more of our planets in our solar system look like they might be or were inhabitable at one point. Very possible they can be again with a little help from us.

Sometimes things are possible but just cost too much.
F that.... i think its stupid to spend so much cash on other planets... i absolutely dont see the point AT ALL. we have enough to deal with around here... running out of room on earth? anybody else ever driven through the midwest?
i wish these assholes would park the shuttle and lower my taxes.... but if they wont lower the taxes i still wish they would park the shuttle and spend my money on stuff that has a greater effect on my quality of life.
