someone with doom3 try this...
pretty much all of my PC upgrades have been due to wanting to run a new game well. what's the big deal?
if you're just going to browse the internet and type up documents, why get anything beyond a Pentium 2?

I'll get a new vid card for HL2 and Doom, but not solely for Doom. IMO it's not worth it. The gameplay is hardly different from the originals, nothing particularly new for a storyline either. Overall I'm disappointed with doom for all the hype it got.

altho, for someone like me who likes scary/morbid/macabre themes and imagery like a fat kid love cake, i love this game
