well you are making this movie to a species where water is essential for them. would you not go "hmmmm people will say you need water to live."
the fact that water is essential to life on earth. it's almost like he didn't think it through.
He doesn't even explain why water kills them.
my friend said "water = pure, aliens = impure", so it's pure VS impure.
which is such a freakin' stretch!
Come on guys, it's one to have holes in a plot, but to have one so big, would you not say it affects the writer credibility. Affect how good a movie is?

Wow you guys sure are picky.
I really liked Signs, I loved the characters and how everything game together at the end. Great ending too.
About the water thing: Could have been milk for all I cared. He used water because it helped "tie everything together" because the little girl left water glasses everywhere, perfect for the family to kill the alien.
I love unbreakable too. It's like real life superheroes. I think you either love or hate his movies. And from what I've heard people either loved or hate The Village, so I'll probably love it lol.

I liked it. I watched it friday night. Not what i expected but good movie, different from all the regular horror flicks. Not too scary, just at some points where my g/f jumped. But good overall. Way better then signs, i didnt really like signs.
