i get excruciating migrains at least once a month and have for the last 12 years, and probably every other day i wake up with pain in teh left side of my head. I had a CT scan done and they said that was fine. I have an appt with a neurologist next month..in a way i hope he finds something so i'll finally know what the cause of all this pain is...but then again, im scared to know.

i swear by chiropractic care and massage therapy (shameless plug)..so i, personally, would recommend both. I've gone to a chiro since i was 8, and they've worked wonders for me. ((i know some of you have had negative experiences with chiropractic..i havent. so dont argue with my personal opinion on whether it works or not. It's worked for me, regardless of whether it has for you. some are good, some are bad.))

FOBulous: it's normal to have the usual headahces from stress and tension....but if you're worried about it, you should talk to ur doctor, and like i said, if you're interested, see a chiropractor.

i hope everything's ok. good luck

i think my headaches stems from bad posture. my spine is kinda weird which makes me slouch. i've never been to a chiropractor. maybe that's what i need. but I dont have medical insurance. how am i gonna pay for it.

i get somethin like that too. every once in a while i just get a headache, like a sharp pain, either on the side of my head by my ear, or on the back of my head, close to my neck. it's like painful for a second, then goes away, then like 5 secs later, pain for a sec, then maybe 30 secs later, pain for a sec. it's weird. it comes and goes

just like me. side of my head around the ear, sometimes behind the ear where the neck meets the skull. and it's totally random.

What exactly is this diseas? I know your mastoid process is that bump behind your ear, you can't really feel it, cause it's too deep, but you probably get pain there. Is it something to do with the tendons that connect to your mastoid process? Making it painful to look up?
