Whoever started it, would you say that you just randomly thought of the name, or did you get it from somewhere?

Just curious because a coworker of mine was talking about how broke she was and all of a sudden she mentioned that she was a "member" of Team B.O.B.! I asked her what it meant, and she said ballaz on a budget. I then asked her where she got that term and she said that she got it from her friends (not sure if it was her boyfriend or just her friends outside or work).

 

She is a liar.

She didn't actually say a member, but when she said team bob, the first thing that came to mind was HAN. I don't really know what she does outside of work, but it seems too much of a coincidence for her to know something like that...

 

:eh: wutda.... mebbe she knows jay? me,rich,and jay came up with the name one day as a joke during our emails at work. we used to talk about money management and how each of us do it and why... the term first started with jay cuz he said "ballin on a budget". the end.

 

That's what I was thinking...maybe she knows jay.

ive heard the phrase..."balla on a budget" many a times. :thinking: i even used it here before...it was in RB's sig for a bit...but i was never in Team BOB. you guys are too high class. h:

well jay or any of us didnt create the phrase... like wilma said, its been around, but when jay used it, we just found it applicable h: theres even a song about it...its our anthem h:

 

jay just knows hot girls.

 

So you could say it was a "common" term that was used? I guess she got it elsewhere, but because she added the word "TEAM" made me automaticaly think of HAN.
