Here's hoping...

It's amazing how far underground this seems to have gone... or am I just looking [for love] in all the wrong places? h:

I got mine filled at Vic Hubbard's in hayward. I'm sure there are some in your area though. http://nos.idealerquik.com/custinfo.asp Just enter your area code and it will find the closest refill shops. 20 lbs? You're either getting a big bottle, or you're getting 2 bottles.

I'd break it into 2 10lb bottles.

Thank you very, very much.

I would go dry before wet, unless it's direct port.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting. You've been running the dry kit.

And it makes sense -- our intake manifolds are designed to flow dry air, not a mixture of air & fuel.

Lord knows, I can't afford to take chances. .. h:

Not only that, but with a dry kit you can place the nozzle farther away from the throttle body, letting the nitrous mix better with the intake charge. With a wet kit, the nozzle must be tapped VERY close to the throttle body, forcing all of the nitrous/fuel to the back of the manifold, and causing uneven amounts of nitrous/fuel in each cylinder...not to mention problems with fuel puddling in the intake manifold/intake tube.

If you have the slightest doubt about running nitrous, don't do it. Be smart about it and tune it correctly...you'll be fine. But if you can't afford to take chances, then nitrous/FI and racing in general isn't for you. You play, you pay.

Yeah, I hear ya. :happysad:

I'm not one to play fast 'n loose with expensive motors.
I've been down that expensive road before. h:

If I decide to spray, I'll do it correctly, and with generous safeguards against detonation (fuel supply and ignition retard). I certainly won't rush into it.
If the worst were to happen now, I wouldn't be in good financial shape.

Perusing the ZEX catalog...I'm watching the totals cost climb higher and higher... purge kit, plugs, fuel pump, flywheel, clutch, driveshafts, forged internals...on and on...h:

It's getting harder for me to justify a motor build on a FF chassis, when I am truly yearning for the handling purity of an FR.

Hrm.. I must sit and ponder. :loco:

Well...LS motors aren't exactly expensive anymore.
