my girlfriend and i opened up a home depot account to purchase a washer/dryer combo. our credit limit is $15k. :eek4:

dude, you can get like 10 sets. h:

I have the Chase Platinum MasterCard® as well as their Toy's R Us Visa. I get $10 in GC for every $1000 I spend. :exnbp:

With Discover you get that same rate except in cash. And with selected partners you can double your cash back so you're effectively getting $20 for every $1000. Just used my double cashback to buy an iJoy Turbo 2 massage chair from Sharper Image :bigok:

Don't cancel the cards Rick or you lower your credit standings

Just don't use them...put them in your safe for emergency use only or something but don't cancel them.

dont even not use them, use them when you have the cash in hand then stash the cash away for the payment, that way they know that youre using your credit wisely

Depends really. They also look at how much available credit you have, and how much your income is. So closing some useless accounts will lower that gap. Again...it depends. h:
