eh, maybe i'll risk it, but i need to get pads...i want OEM. these cheapo's ($11) dusted more than the fronts and didn't last too long, for a car with 20% brake bias in the rear

If it is just something you have done every time you change pads then you are throwing money away hand over fist....you can run through about 2-3 sets of pads before turning them becomes an issue. If not then you have bigger problems than your brake pads
well, since all my years of ownership, i haven't had the rears turned yet. from visual inspection, the worn rear pads haven't groove the rotors' surface yet.

shit, i've never even owned a car and i can replace pads in 40 minutes. no one will catch you if you do it quick enough.

Then you should be good to go with a simple pad swap.

Only time I take mine in to be turned is when I am getting noticeable disc wear. My pads on my car right now have been on for nearly 2 years and still work fine and no squeel (well when they were just put on they did a little).

welp...ordered pads. i guess i'll find a way to get them installed by this weekend.
