Anyone know about coin collecting?
I was cleaning up around the house today, and while moving an old box of stuff that my grandmother had saved, I found a United States Quarter from 1858 that was sealed in plastic. I was like
I don't know the first thing about coins. Is this thing worth anything? I think its pretty cool.

Go buy a coin collecting book at the bookstore. I'm sure it's worth something.
I have a 1904 penny, a steel penny (from WWII era when copper was used for bullets), a silver certifcate dollar, and other old coils and they worth a good deal.

Take it to a coin shop, maybe a pawn shop, alot around here deal in old coins. They may be able to give you a rough estimate of what its worth.

I have an 1858 quarter too my grandad gave me. It's worth I think $150-200, it depends on where it was minted...if I remember it's a letter under the back eagle on the coin.
