Good, more feedback. Expound on what type of contests. What types of prizes would you be interested in?

 

umm, idk, but have some sponsers give some stuff out. it would also help them advertise i think, sticky at top of off-topic or post on main page or something?

do like photoshop contests and other stuff people can participate in, the only thing i would recommend is limit to people who are registered for like a month already so that we cannot have anyone just randomely sign up and jack our stuff.

 

this is hard to answer, as we don't know what you are looking for? Where do you want HAN to go as in content and image? From there we can extrapolate what can be added. I for one am a writing aficionado.

Just give me a topic to write on...

 

Dont pay attention to it at all. Ive only read it once that was when someone posted a thread about a tranny and the front page had a write up on it.

Now on a more serious note, info about motorsports doesn't get me too much. I like where Nightshade was going with getting more of a balance of things.

Take http://slashdot.org for example. They don't just talk about linux or just about computers, they have a good assortment of articles. It's got good layout, easy to read and has content diversity that isn't too diverse yet keeps me looking for more.

Occasionally I check out the front page, but unless I see an article that interests me I just jump straight to the forums. What would be really cool (and maybe we already have it) is a customizable front page for users - kinda like My Yahoo! but more directly related to HAN. The one thing that bothers me is that the front page doesn't fit the rest of the site. It has a totally different design. It makes me wonder if we are in the process of changing the site's design. I would have to agree that the articles on the homepage rarely gain my interest. (Although several of the articles on there right now I've read.) If content was interactive and contained the most active post of the day or something it would be neat. Just my personal opinion, but the blurbs for the articles could be shorter - the page is really long.

 

I understand that you like F-1 sean but I think maybe some drag racing coverage would be good, maybe things that members are more likely to have a lot of interest in. I mean most of us can take our cars to a drag strip but how many of us can jump in a Honda f1 car? I like Corey's idea of car care, and I really think we need to get ride of the month going again. I also think a link to the main page would be a good idea somewhere within the forum itself.
