Military Rules For Nonmilitary Persons
dbrummet, posts in the basement don't count towards your post count.
And, ManinCamo, I think your post is awesome, but I think I disagree about the lack of importance you place on the people that "wrote it down". Our military is the reason that we are able to observe all of our rights, but, as seen in many countries such as Cuba, Iraq, et al., military might also has the ability to take rights away because of its ability to just follow orders.
That's one main reason I could never be in the military. I don't think I could ever stop asking why. Except when someone shot at me. In that case I would know the answer.

If I came across that way, I didn't mean to. I don't mean to put down the forefathers of the consitution in any way. But in general, they wern't the ones who fought and died for it, but they did exersize their god given ability of thought to come up with the work of art which keeps up free, fairly free at least.
I was emphasizing the work of the soldiers.

I agree with you on this one, manincamo. without military, no government has any power. our forefathers could have written down whatever they wanted, but it wouldnt be law without soldiers to fight for independence from britain.
10) Don't try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans and we all bleed the same, regardless of our individual party affiliations. Our Chain of Command starts at the President, also regardless of political party, who is our Commander-In-Chief (for those who didn't know.) We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives meet. All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. If you keep asking us the same stupid questions repeatedly, you will get your ass kicked!
edit: no offense to anyone in particular. its just an observation.
