Got a letter today in the mail telling me that im 3 credits deficient!
This sucks now i only get to take one class this semester, and i have to pay for it. Anyone have any ideas on what i can say when i try to APPEAL it?

what do u mean 3 credits deficient? all you need for finaid is 12 units and min 2.0

 

ANY extenuating circumstances that caused you to fall short of credits (changing work schedule, death in the family, or even a someone that you feel was a bad enough prof. to force you to drop the class) will definitely help your appeal establish SOME credibility.

 

well, it says that im 3 credits deficient and i have a 2.38 cumulative gpa,
I quit going to one class last semester and i failed it, but other then that i got a's and b's in the other 3 classes i had. I guess i was on financial aid probation and didnt even know??!?!??!?!? I got owned

u dont get credits for an F

 

in CA when you get financial aid you have to maintain a min. of 2.0 and have to complete min. number of units.

for example if the min units they require you to complete each semester is 16 then you multiply that by 2.0 (the min gpa) and you get 32.

so you have to have 32 credits. you can get this in many ways. say you only take 8 units but get a 4.0. then again you have 32 credits.

I would say you were deficient because you failed that one class and the rest of your gpa wasn't high enough to bring you up to the minimum credits you have to complete.
