so you have to have 32 credits. you can get this in many ways. say you only take 8 units but get a 4.0. then again you have 32 credits.

I would say you were deficient because you failed that one class and the rest of your gpa wasn't high enough to bring you up to the minimum credits you have to complete.
I think that you have credits and quality points confused.
Typically, the credits earned for an A are the same as the credits earned for a C... meanwhile a C is typically worth 2 quality points, and an A worth 4. You multiply your quality points for each class by the number of credits for the class... do this for each class and add the sums together. Then divide by the total number of credits attempted to calculate your GPA.

:wtf:
That makes no sense!
I thought it was pretty universale that credits referred to the points recieved towards graduation and the weight of the class in determining your GPA. It would be illogical for one to earn more points towards graduation for recieving an 'A' in a class as oppossed to a 'B'.
So, if you call quality points "credits" then WHAT THE HELL do you call credits!???

Units.

You don't have to believe me. Someone who went through the educational system at the state what I was referring to and made it clear that I was referring to that state in my post.
